For over 25 years, Vegas PBS Ready To Learn (RTL) has used the power of award-winning PBS KIDS media to help young children and families have access to high quality learning experiences. We deliver family engagement workshops, afterschool and summer program curricula, teacher professional development trainings and community events across Southern Nevada demonstrating how parents, caregivers and teachers can use PBS KIDS to provide fun learning activities that extend the educational experience beyond the broadcast. RTL distributes over 85,000 new books annually to children and families through our initiatives to build at-home libraries. 

Ready To Learn Program Objectives:

• Raise families to their full potential and increase children’s school readiness by collaborating with community partners to provide high-quality educational resources and instruction, including new books, to families and caregivers within Southern Nevada.
• Extend learning into the home to make “anytime learning time” by providing hands-on educational experiences, instructional technology, and ongoing support to parents, caregivers and childcare providers using PBS KIDS Ready To Learn curriculum.
• Develop inquiry skills and spark curiosity in children ages 2-8 in Southern Nevada through engaging science and literacy content, personalized and adaptive learning, and community engagement.
