Joyce King
A professional educator for 38 years, Dr. King is in her 24th year with the Clark County School District. She has taught K-8 and is currently a Project Facilitator for Technical Resources. You have probably seen her name somewhere on InterAct. She services all but the East Region and Superintendent Schools providing training throughout the district for projects such as the Jason Expedition, Immersion Presents, Shakespeare in the Park, Mojave Max, and Kids Voting.

Dr. King holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, a Master's degree in Health Education, and a doctorate in Educational Leadership. As a lifelong learner, she has facilitated online courses for the University of Phoenix and RPDP. She co-developed the training program and handbook for RPDP online instructors.

Dr. King's interests include new teachers and teacher training, elementary science, and of course, online learning. Once upon a time she was a National Teacher Training Institute Teacher for VEGAS PBS. Through NTTI, teachers train teachers to use emerging technologies.

Dr. King is married to Larry King, live but not famous, and has a 28 year old daughter living in Portland. She is an avid fisherwoman and already has her spring fishing trip planned. Catfish are her specialty. She also collects smiley faces and cannot wait for the next Harry Potter book to arrive.

Dr. King encourages everyone taking online courses through PBS to enjoy their time online. "It is a lot of work, but worth it. The facilitators are great. You will learn so much from your fellow participants. I did!."
