Event Details

Clark County Parks and Recreation is proud to present The Las Vegas Jazz Society 50th Anniversary Celebration!

In 1975, jazz bassist Monk Montgomery with a group of jazz musicians and fans (including current President, Judy Tarte) formed the Las Vegas Jazz Society. In 2025, it celebrates the 50th year of that momentous occasion with a two-day festival. Get ready to groove to the sounds of jazz as we commemorate this special milestone.

On Saturday & Sunday, April 26 and 27, the Winchester-Dondero Cultural Center and Park will feature workshops, classes, and performances by some of the area’s top jazz musicians:

  • Jose Pepe Jimenez
  • Uli Geissendoerfer
  • Joe Lano
  • JoBelle Yonely
  • Gary Fowler
  • Arcade Bops
  • Toscha Comeaux
  • Julian Tanaka
  • and more.

Plus, the Nevada State Museum will open a special exhibit on Friday April 25, honoring the musicians who accompanied the legendary performers who established Las Vegas as the "Entertainment Capital of the World."
