Vegas PBS Launches New Brand for the Digital Age

Email share

Vegas PBS is unveiling a fresh brand.

Two years ago, PBS embarked on journey to refresh its iconic logo in an effort to speed up content streaming, facilitate quicker online searches and increase ease of recognition of the brand with viewers across digital platforms. Vegas PBS is following suit with a new visual identity — a refreshed logo, bold color palette, custom typeface and illustration style. Audiences can expect to see the new look and feel displayed across all media platforms including broadcast, mobile, print, digital and on-demand streaming platforms such as Roku and Apple TV.

PBS worked with global creative agency Lippincott, to develop some of the new brand elements. Locally, Vegas PBS factored in participation from active members, major donors, station staff, and general television audiences in Southern Nevada, as part of its brand refresh process.

Vegas PBS last updated its brand in 2006, when it changed its name from KLVX-TV to Vegas PBS. Not long after, in 2009, the station relocated to its state-of-the-art Educational Technology Campus to meet the demands of an increasingly digital world. With the rising number of viewers accessing content through digital platforms and mobile devices, ease of recognition and visibility for Vegas PBS across platforms is one of the main forces behind this updated look.

For 11 consecutive years, Vegas PBS has remained among the top three most-watched PBS stations in the country. The brand refresh does not signify a change to the station’s commitment to providing the best of television, education services and unique experiences, to its loyal base of more than 18,000 members and donors, who have supported the station since its founding in 1968. Audiences can continue to find the smart and engaging programming that Vegas PBS viewers know and love.
