VEGAS PBS NOW OFFERING GED HIGH SCHOOL EQUIVALENCY EXAM

LAS VEGAS, NV – Vegas PBS is proud to announce that it is now authorized to administer the General Education Development (GED) test program, providing Nevadans with a flexible, accessible option to earn their high school credential and improve their job and career prospects. Vegas PBS’ testing lab is open Monday-Friday to the general public and Saturdays for CCSD educators.

The GED test program is the second high school equivalency certification Vegas PBS offers, alongside the HiSET High School Equivalency Exam. Benefits of earning a GED credential include college credit advanced placement, qualification for higher-paying jobs, and improved opportunities in various trades. 

“The privilege of being able to administer the GED test is a testament to Vegas PBS’ commitment to providing a pathway to fulfilling careers,” said Debra Solt, Director of Workforce Development at Vegas PBS. “We plan to continue expanding our variety of testing options for those seeking to broaden their career horizons.”

From teacher professional development courses to certifications in construction and trades, Vegas PBS’ Workforce Education provides Southern Nevadans with the means to pursue high-earning, high-demand careers. With over 370 career programs and 1,000 short term and compliance courses, Vegas PBS’ Workforce Education helps all community members find the path to fulfilling careers.

Vegas PBS' Workforce Education courses are easily accessible and self-paced, ideal for those with busy schedules. Vegas PBS' campus is also home to a robust computer lab, where community members can take a number of certification exams.
