Early Learning Champion, Angela Hamilton | Ready To Learn Blog

Vegas PBS announced Angela Hamilton from George E. Harris Elementary School as a PBS KIDS Early Learning Champion. This new awards program recognizes committed educators who work with young children, from infants to second-graders, and will offer a variety of community building, leadership and professional learning opportunities provided by PBS and member stations over the next two years.

Angela is a dedicated preschool teacher at George E. Harris Elementary School and is a strong advocate for using PBS KIDS media in the classroom and with families. As a former RTL family engagement workshop facilitator, she seamlessly integrated instructional strategies for early learners ages birth through five, while simultaneously coaching and mentoring their parents and caregivers in English and Spanish.

Angela consistently received positive feedback from parents and teachers for her ability to make our workshops fun, engaging and relevant for the whole family. Vegas PBS is excited to recognize passionate educators like Angela who are making positive changes in their students’ lives. Congratulations, Angela!
