Pahranagat Loop at Pahranagat National Wildlife Refuge| Outdoor Nevada Presents Tales from the Trails
SEASON 1: EPISODE 8 | 11/10/2023
Less than two hours away from Las Vegas, along U.S. Highway 93 near Alamo, is Pahranagat National Wildlife Refuge, a magical oasis for animals and nature lovers!
The refuge gives visitors a unique chance to explore the ecosystems of the area, including lush wetlands, meadows and riparian areas. The Loop trail starts just behind the visitor center. It is a little less than a half mile long and is packed gravel, making it an easy stroll for little ones and people with mobility issues. It is rated easy and is open year round.
Along the trail, hikers will see interpretive signs describing the incredible flora and fauna of the area. They also outline the conservation efforts that have been made to preserve the refuge. The whole walking trail is a simple way to disconnect from urban life and take in the tranquility of Nevada’s outdoors.
