Aerial Ambush! Leopard Attacks an Impala From a Tree

Hunting from trees takes time and considerable skill, especially since it can result in serious injury instead of a meal. But Xudum’s patience pays off. After days without eating, the female leopard ends up in the right tree, in the right position, and with the right prey beneath her.

Coming Soon: Wednesdays at 8 p.m.

Follow the dramatic lives of individual African big cats from a front-seat perspective and see first-hand, day and night, how they conquer the challenging and breathtaking landscapes of Botswana.

Filmed in one of the most dynamic locations on the African continent — the vast Okavango Delta in Botswana — this series captures the big cats’ battle to survive through dramatic changes within their families and their home. They’re tracked across two extreme seasons, from the flood that will test the cats and crew to the limit through to punishing drought, which sees prey drawn to ever-shrinking waterholes. New filming techniques and the latest technology allows the crew to follow lions, leopards, and cheetahs from the ground, air, and throughout the night, as the big cats fight for supremacy in a brutal and unforgiving environment.
